If you can’t make it to Melbourne for the Melbourne Cup – Broadbeach is the next best place to be. The Gold Coast Exhibition Centre puts on one of the best celebrations. Enjoy a gourmet lunch, beverage packages, a Moet and Chandon bar, a fashion parade, and then watch the race that stops a nation on a 27m screen!

Dress up, book a table with your friends and enjoy a day of fun, frivolity and fashion. Pick your favourite horse, and cheer them on. It’s a fantastic day out with friends or making new ones, and simply enjoying the atmosphere. It’s certainly a party you’ll remember.

For those who love cars, racing and the atmosphere, you must see the Castrol Gold Coast 600. This year it’s on from the 21st-23rd of October. Watch the V8 supercars run through their practice and qualifying rounds, all in anticipation of the final races.

Even if cars aren’t your thing, the environment is worth being there for, and with headline acts from bands such as Birds of Tokyo, The Living End, and The Rubens – everyone will find something to enjoy. There is always plenty to see and do, you can even take photos by the V8 Cars or just mingle and meet new people. To buy tickets or to find out more head to:
